Creating Characters
After reading through the Featured Characters, you can see that inspiration can come from pretty much anything. Some characters get their inspiration from another character that was created already.
Inspiration can also strike from past experiences, like beforementioned Stephen Hillengurg coming up with the concept of Spongebob Squarepants solely based on his marine insitute teaching experiences and seeing what the kids liked there.
People have also gotten their insipration from inanimate objects and shadows.
